 The paper birds are theater company made in 2003. The company exercises on direct meanings, motion, personality, the tale, and revealing method. They focus on social and political aspects. They wanted cause difference and development. The exercises for direct meaning is realism and exploring another parts of the story. For movement they think about the physical action causing another physical action. For character they think about time significance. For revealing method, the practice being in and out of character. What is new to me is thinking directly about being in and out of character. I think it is interesting how they think about direct meaning of the words. I think that the thinking of realism and focusing on other parts of the show can impact my work in the show.

  This project we did theater caused me to have a lot of emotions. After watching The Things I Know be True, we got to find song lyrics that connected to the emotions in the play. I just liked this because I love music and instead of finding random quotes I felt passionate about finding the right song. The big theme was about change in the play. When I thought about songs about change one song came to my head, Change by Jayden Bartels. Jaden Bartels has been my inspiration for a while now. I love this song because I get to hear her talk about how change is different and hard to deal with, I truly felt not alone in the same situation. She also expresses that change is ok in the end, which is meaningful for me. I knew to give off the same theme as the play so I chose the perfect part to do my movements performance to.   TEAM- Tension - In the play, the tension between the characters is represented through movement, touch, light, and voice tone. The tension is very intense and anxious. The secrets of each character are eating each person alive but they pretend that they are fine. The tension is even sometimes pointed out by their mother because she feels the tension and behavior and connects the dots and exposes the reality. E - The emotion in the play is shown by the mood of the characters but also sad but real. The world that the play is in is closer to most of the audience’s reality. The hardships of life can be hidden forever and you have to face every possibility. Pushing away from the reality of your feelings and thoughts just makes things worse due to time. A - Atmosphere actually changes. In the beginning, I feel relieved and able to relax once Rosey gets home because she fell into her safety net and how I can relate to having a supportive family who will always be there for me.
