Reflection of Emotion/Music Pieces

I loved my Peer’s pieces. I liked how each piece was different. I really like how some were really thought out and were more simple which made them unique. It was interesting how most of the movements had to do with the song or lyrics of the song. I loved being able to use my love for music and my love for theater together. I loved how each piece had a completely different theme. The tempos of their piece are very different too. Like how the music affected the tempo dramatically. I loved how the songs were all so different as well and the tempos matched the music. I loved how some of the dances can really give off some very unique emotion. Like how my classmates had an idea of the emotion and the dances really embraced that to a point that the other person felt the same feeling. I wish I tried harder or my piece was more creative. As a dancer and an actor I knew I could have done so much better. I wish I could try again but all I can do is learn from it. Also I did have another o...

Overall Viewpoint Reflection

Participating in the view point theater was very fun. We got to experience being in the audience and being on stage. We got to experience having the small things in theater affect us in big ways. I am used to just being on stage and acting the way my character is though in this activity I focused on my natural state on stage. I loved when we got to interact with our classmates. It was fun to see how our friends reacted to the small things too. Like when we interact with the lights and let them affect us. I created this whole vision of the lights and I made them come to life. Also how a word can change our way of acting. Ironically, when we were focusing on our own word I was given war the first time and violence the second time. In real life I am a kind and gentle person so it was very weird to realize how one word can change my behavior so much. Also with levels it was so hard for me because of my height. Being loud versus quiet was also fun. I liked to be quiet and small a lot....

Walking Reflection

I noticed that walking at a faster pace made it harder to think. I noticed that pace identifies the storyline or purpose of walking. when we stopped when someone else stopped it changed a lot because it was harder to make sure you stopped and started at the right time. I noticed the amount of people affects the movement of others. Restrictions made it harder to think of where to go. Focus on yourself instead of others was hard. I agree that at the end when we walked neutral again it went smoother.

My Theater Experience

I love theater. I started my experience of theater when I was 4. I have been a cute mouse to a sassy choreographer. I started taking classes at MTC which was a theater school my sister actually went to. From the experiences of that class, I wanted to be in a play. My first play ever was Doctor Dolittle and I was a cute little ladybug. After that play, I truly love acting. I acted at that theater school for 8 or so years. At that school, I was a little ladybug to a teen camper at Camp Rock. When I started at my different middle school, it actually had a theatrical program at my school which I truly love. I got to have fun characters like A court member to a Wicked Witch. I have weaknesses though I am not that creative with how I play a character. I tend to stick to the script and don’t put a bit of myself into my character. I wish I could make my character feel more natural. My strengths are trying to bring mine to life. I love working with others. But for sure my goal is to be mo...

Memorable Theater Moments

Image
One of the most memorable moments I thought about when I explored my mind of all my theater experiences was actually one of the plays I did at my middle school. I was part of an evil pirate crew. The crew was singing a song to scare the main characters. To make the audience that included younger kids feel like part of the story, we would look at the audience directly and trying to act scary and mysterious. Also, the stage was on the same level as the audience so as an audience member, the actors were really close and as if the audience was truly part of the play. Also when I saw Spiderman the musical the Green Goblin swung over the audience he then didn't go over again but then he did and the play continued but then after the play, my family discover they had actually got stuck after he flew over us the first time. It was very interesting how it failed but no one knew.
