Pipeline Work

  Pina Bausch -  Dance, and emotion - works as if in a dream Scene 4 - Page 27 The stage is split The lights go on Nya with the color of warm light Omari with white color light Nya  Wearing A purple dress with a chalkboard On the chalkboard is the poem name With a table in front with nothing on it Nya is sitting at the table at the beginning We start the scene while Nya is talking to her students - act natural Then as begins to start talk about the poem The chalkboard and are taken away She continues to speak Once the chalkboard and table are back on she sits back on the table like nothing happened Talk as natural as possible Omari Wearing Royal blue shirt with black pants With nothing on his side With each quick line of the poem he moves to express the emotion of the line Once the chalkboard and table are off we merge the light and make Omari continue the movements around Nya At the very end, the chalkboard is brought back on with the table Movement is only made when say...

Reflect on Workshops

  This experience was so fun. I like how we did everything in bits. Separating each element of theater makes adding them together more powerful. The dance we did was so different and interesting. The movement that they do half across the world was being taught right here in our school. Then talking about the text's meaning in theater brought me to realize how important the tone and expression of the text can change so much. For that exercise, we read a script about an object in life and its point of view. We choose one of the paragraphs from the script and Jackson and I created our own scene. We used Remote and made our scene tense by having the two of us stare at each other while sitting and having minimal movement without a set and expressing how so little can be so much.
